building a consistent editing style that viewers keep coming back to

Introduction

Jarvy had engaging speedrun videos. However, the intro's needed to be improved in order to properly hook the viewer.

The Approach

I worked with Jarvy constantly to make the intros recognisable to his viewers and match his energy while keeping it fast paced and entertaining.

• developed a consistent style which was easily changable depending on the video idea
• added consistent visual effects and transitions as well as audio effects in order to keep the viewer entertained the whole time
• made sure the screen never stopped moving in order to keep retention strong

The Results

the consistent editing approach towards the intros paid off as the videos became more recognisable towards the viewers and helped build a strong foundation in the channel later on.
